Why Keep It Clear
Keep It Clear is Anglian Water’s pioneering, transformational behaviour change programme tackling pollution and flooding caused by avoidable sewer blockages.
Just a few of our community events
The Keep it Clear programme, launched in 2011, has inspired and enabled communities to engage with the issue of blocked pipes and make a real difference.
We use local, trusted and known ‘voices’ within the community to spread awareness of our Keep it Clear programme.
We’re always out and about in the community sharing interesting stories, why not follow us socially and stay connected.
There's something lurking beneath Lowestoft! These images of fatbergs building up in the sewers were taken during a CCTV camera survey recently. We have gone in to clear them before a pollution happened. Please join the #Unblocktober campaign and help us Keep it Clear! https://t.co/rDeKg0JC5C
There are volunteers out and about across the region helping to make sure the only litter on the ground is Autumn leaf litter. In small, socially distanced groups, the RiverCare and BeachCare teams we support across the East have continued to pick litter and tackle plastic pollution throughout recent months. While current restrictions mean large groups can no longer join together for litter picking events – we can all do our bit in our local communities.
And you can protect the environment from plastic pollution without even leaving the house. This month is Unblocktober, a month long campaign to highlight the impact on our rivers and coastline of unflushables in the sewer network. Make sure you bin fats, wipes and other unflushables. Sewers are only there for the three P’s – poo, pee and paper. Find out more at anglianwater.co.uk/keepitclear
Our teams are out every day ensuring your water is clean and healthy. Water sampler Megan captured the sunrise this morning from the top of one of our Lincolnshire drinking water storage reservoirs 😍💦
